Fred Smith is a primarily self learned illustrator, painter, sculptor.

They were raised in an authoritarian setting which pushed them to develop an acute sense of escapism at an early age. Their creative endedeavors have been further spurred on by the need to create a universe to exist in all their own, void of the societal pressures and agreements most humans begrudgingly accept.

Their work is a way for them to dissect and question the traditional narratives that have formed within society. They pull inspiration from personal scruples, everyday observations, and memories. Each new idea or tangent that forms to create a work, operates as a parallel living; in.ty of the reality that we humans currently find ourselves The american artist makes his debut in Germany at Better Go South after he had several exhibitions with galleries like Moosey Arts in England, Regular Normal, The Royal Society of American Art, the Strada Exhibition and the Pad Gallery/Good Naked Gallery in New York, the Seasons and the Spring Break Fair in Los Angeles and exhibitions with the Good Year Arts in North Carolina.
